Administrate collection points – Step by step
Collection points are the data sources that Meridix Platform uses and a system can contain an unlimited number of collection points. The mapping must not be one to one with the physical collection points but that is usually the case.
To be able to administrate collection point the system requires that your account has the System Administrator role.
To get to the collection point administration go to Administration-> Collection point through the menu.
The Collection point id field is an id that connects the collection point with the underlying data for that collection point/group of collection points. This value is defined when the connection is setup and should not be changed unless the underlying connection changes. The Name field is a descriptive name on the collection point and is usually the company name or the location of the collection point, for example London or Paris. This value can be changed anytime without interfering with other settings. There is also an option to have an additional description about the collection point that is only visible at this page.
