From version 3.0 Meridix Platform has support for customer grouping. This means that an installation can contain several separate customers where each customer has their own part of the system and can have their own users, measurement objects etc. If a system has customer grouping enabled but only contains one customer the customer grouping is not enabled and there is no difference from a non-customer grouped installation.

When a system administrator is logged in, an option to select what customer to work with is presented through the customer panel shown below. If there is just one customer in the system this panel will never be displayed.
