About the reporting system
Meridix Platform is available in English, Swedish, Danish, Norwegian, Finnish, German, Italian, Spanish. You can switch between languages by clicking on the flag icons at the login page or on "My account" page once you've logged in. The language choice can be made per user. You can also set a default language for the entire system at the Application settings page.
The built-in help system
Meridix Platform has a built-in help system that provides instant help regarding the section you are working in.
You can access the help at any time by clicking on the black information icons next to the section and an info-box will appear with further information.
These icons are located all around the system and we recommend using them as much as needed.
Catalog
The catalog in the Meridix Platform lists all the measurement objects and groups that are presented in the system. Administrators can search the catalog to find measurement objects in the system by typing a part of their number or description.
To access the catalog search function go to Catalog->Search in the menu.
The search presents all measurement objects that match the criteria. For example, a search for "sson" presents all measurement objects that contain that string in their name, such as Bertilsson and Andersson. It can be used to view what group a measurement object belongs to.
System information
Meridix Platform has a built-in information system that lets administrators publish information messages to the users. To access the system information go to Administration->Information messages in the menu. Type the desired information message in the textbox and click on the Update system information button to save it. All users of the system will be presented this message when they go to the default start page (quick start).
Application settings
Meridix Platform has a large number of settings that control how the system behaves. The main settings are available through the Application settings page that you can access by going to Administration->Application settings in the menu. This page is divided into several sections and each setting is described by the built-in help system. All settings are described and documented inside the system.
Execution queue
The execution queue is a queue with scheduled jobs that the system is going to perform. For example, every time the system executes a saved report it is added as a job to the execution queue. System administrators can view the current queue at Execution queue->View execution queue. The page is automatically updated if the checkbox Update page automatically is checked.
Studio service status Shows the current status of the Meridix Studio Server, which is the background service that executes the jobs. It should always be started otherwise, none of the jobs will be executed.
Active Show all the jobs in the queue that are added but not yet executed. Completed Executed jobs stay in the queue with a status of Completed for a number of days. They are automatically removed by the system later. You can always re-execute a completed job by clicking on the Move to active queue link. The job will be re-executed in the next run.
The following information is available for both active and completed jobs.
Added to queue The timestamp when the job was added to the queue.
Last status update The timestamp for the last status update for the job. For completed jobs, this is the time when the job was completed.
Status The current status of the job.
Status message A status message describing the status (if necessary).
Type of job What type of job this is (for example, Saved report).
Description A description of the job (for example, if it's a saved report job the name of the customer it belongs to, and the name of the saved report).
Scheduled to execute Since jobs can be scheduled to be executed at a future date this column specifies what time it is supposed to run. Saved reports can be added retrospectively and can therefore be executed as if they were executed at an earlier date. In these cases, this column will contain the timestamp that the report is executed as it was.
Logs
Administrators have access to the system log where they can find information on failed login attempts, failed saved report distributions, etc.
All logs of the severity warning are shown on the start page for administrators as long as they are marked as unhandled.
To access the log go to Log->View log where there is a list of all the log entries. Log entries can be in the state of unhandled and require attention from an administrator. When a log entry has been handled it is recommended that the administrator marks it as handled.
