From version 3.0 Meridix Studio has support for customer grouping which means that an installation can contain several separate customer were each customer has their own part of the system and can have their own users, subscribers etc.If a system has customer grouping enabled but only contains one customer the customer grouping is not enabled and there is no difference from a non-customer grouped installation.

When a system administrator is logged in he gets an option to select what customer to work with through the customer panel shown below. If there is just one customer in the system this panel will never be displayed.

When you change the customer the page is reloaded and the values for the selected customer are loaded for the current section. This panel is visible all over the system but only for system administrators.
Every customer in the system can have each own administrators that have administrative rights only for that customer.
Meridix Studio can have an unlimited number of users and there can be as many administrators as necessary but we recommend keeping the number to a minimum since changes made by administrators can affect all users in the same customer as the administrator.

Before using this guide we recommend that you read the section definitions to have a good understanding about what e.g. subscribers are before making changes in the system.
To be able to access the administration area your account needs to have the role Administrator. If you have a menu item called Administration your account has the correct rights.
