Meridix Platform
Step by step guides and reference manual

Meridix Platform is a reporting application for communication statistics. The system is platform independent and support several of the markets most used collection points and platforms. The system intend to generate reports quick and easy. It allows you to create reports that can be used to optimize and improve your business. Both detailed reports and staffing calculations, suitible to ensure fulfillment of your service agreements, can be produced.

The system is split into three main sections. First we have the basic reports that give access to the most frequently used values by using predefined report templates. Secondly, we have the advanced report generator where the users can group and compare extensions, groups or collection points and create their own reports. Thirdly, we have the report subscriptions where users can define reports once and let the system automatically and continuously distribute them.

This manual describes how to use these sections (and include definitions).

This manual includes step by step guides for how to use the web user interface to create reports and administrate the system. You will find these guides under the section step by step guides.

Some of the most common definitions and terms used in the Meridix Platform:

Collection pointA Meridix Platform installation can support multiple collection points at once. Each supported collection point contains at least one module that can be used in Meridix Platform.
ModuleA module is a logical container for reports of a specific type.
Modules are also known as data logging ports on the target collection point where each collection point could have several outputs that is each handled by Meridix Platform. For example, a CS1000 has an Extension module, an ACD module and an Attendant module that each provides different types of data to the system.
Report

Each module contains at least one report where each report handles a specific view of the data. Each report contains of a number of columns and the descriptions for these are always built in into the report. You can access this information by clicking on the column headers at any given time.

Measurement pointMeasurement points is a logical representation of the source collection points where each collection point can be mapped against its own measurement point but several collection points can also be mapped as a single measurement point if no numbers between the contained collection points overlap.
See the section measurement points for more information.
Measurement objectA measurement object is something that can be measured, it can be an extension, an ACD group or an Attendant. Every measurement object consists of an id that is mapped against the platform/collection point specific identifier for that unit as well as a type that describes what it is.
See the section measurement objects for more information.
GroupA group in Meridix Platform is a logical collection of measurement objects that can be measured individually or as a unit. Groups are logical which mean that you can group Measurement objects however you want regardless of where they exist or of what type they are. There is no connection against the grouping they may have in the underlying collection point.

See the section groups for more information.

User

Meridix Platform support an unlimited number of users where a user is an account that can log into the system and create reports. Each user needs to be granted rights to the measurement objects and groups that they should be allowed to create report on.
CustomerA Meridix Platform installation can have multiple customers where each customer has a logical part of the system that no other customers can access.
A customer has its own users, measurement object etc. it can even have its own administrators.
Only system administrators have a notation about that there are multiple customer in a system since all other users only see their own customer.
