A basic report is a predefined report with a small number of selected columns that it makes sense to look at together, a basic report are a subset of the advanced report but hides most of the columns to be able to present an easy report that even inexperienced users can understand with ease. As suggested above each basic report is owned by an advanced report but they do not support any other report grouping than by total. They can however be grouped in any interval that you want.

When accessing basic report the system displays a list where each module that is loaded into the system has a sub list with available basic reports grouped by the advanced report they belong to.
