Dashboard use cases for end-users

An improved start page with a selection of the most important/interesting key values showing immediately as well as shortcuts to the other parts of the system.

For most users, a default start page created by the service provider with assistance from Meridix will be the primary use of the dashboard. It can showcase some important statistics directly without any need to set dates or report types. A default start page should also provide shortcuts to the reports and could include tutorials/guides as links/text or videos.

The user can set up their own dashboard/dashboards with the data of interest to get a quick overview of communications data. The widgets can be configured to display the relevant data in the way the user wants it. The widgets can be configured with warning colors to provide a quick indication that something is not meeting the acceptable goals or benchmarks.


Get data from different sources at the same place

The dashboard provides the ability to in some cases receive data from different sources, not only the meridix reports. Adding widgets into the dashboard that shows data from different sources provides the ability to create a dashboard with the most relevant information in one place. It is possible to add external pages or widgets by adding a custom iframe widget or configure an RSS/Atom feed widget. The data sources that the meridix specific widgets provide currently report data and for some technical platforms real-time data. Meridix is constantly trying to add new interesting data sources for our customers.


Set up a dashboard for office screens to showcase the communications internally or externally within the company

It’s possible and quite easy to theme and configure the dashboard to match the company branding. It is also possible to set the dashboard in free placement mode in order to place the widget exactly where you want on the screen. This enables the customers to create a dashboard that is displayed on office screens. Either externally to show advertisement movies or information at the same time as some real values over accessibility is shown. As an example, a text displaying “We care about our customers and do not want you to wait in line to get in contact with us”. Next to this is a widget showing the average speed of answer.

These can also be created for internal use within an office space to show relevant statistics to employes continuously. With iframes, other company-specific information can be displayed as well as images or videos.
